We’ll Miss You

Radcliffe Mason

November 6, 1943 – March 24, 2025

Vice President of NYC Atheists

Recently, we lost a great man. Ewa, Rad’s wife, informed us of Rad’s passing. Rad was recovering from a surgical procedure and experienced a heart complication. Despite hospitalization and pain, Ewa said that Rad was in good spirits and happy. While saddened by your passing, we are glad to hear that you were happy in the end.

We all remember Rad as the moderator of our weekly Zoom Meetings. He strived to keep use all educated and informed on the latest issues. He was a paragon of respect and care. He loved people and cared a great deal. Last fall when Rad stepped away as Vice President and meeting moderator, we lost a great man but expected him to visit. We’ll miss that we don’t get to see you again.

Do not mourn Rad, but celebrate his life. Keep him in your hearts to keep his memory alive. We remembered Rad at the Wednesday Zoom Meeting of 3/26.

Rad will be buried at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton NY on Friday, April 11, 2025. The funeral procession will depart Interboro Funeral Service, 544 Evergreen Ave in his native Brooklyn NY for an hour and a half drive to Calverton NY.

Do not wait at the main gate, head directly for the chapel. Beware that there may be religious aspects as Rad’s previous family is religious.

Transportation is only provided for the family only. Please, use our contact form with the subject of Rad’s Funeral to request or offer transportation services for other guests to Calverton NY.

Following the service, we will return to Brooklyn for a meal at the Gateway Center Olive Garden.
