Dear Friend,
Your response to my somewhat unusual Giving Tuesday email was remarkable in a couple of ways. For one, we raised a total of $7,780 that day, and we are grateful for every one of you who participated and supported our work.
I was also blown away by the very personal and insightful responses I’ve received on the “issue” of Giving Tuesday. It seems those of you who work in fundraising (or receive hundreds of messages from causes you support) appreciate the dilemma we find ourselves in.
And you understand that fundraising is about the relationships we are building year-round. I’ve come to know many of you, and of course so have my colleagues. We may connect by phone, via social media, or in person at a convention or other event. If you have a question or comment, you know you can reach out, and if we have a project I think you’d find interesting, I feel comfortable telling you about it.
That’s how we make progress as a cause. Together, we fight Christian nationalism’s encroachment on our rights and build resilient and responsive communities ready for the challenges to come. Thank you for making this possible every day.
